You may encounter an issue where reports in StreetSmart fail to generate. When this happens, you might notice one of the following:
-
After selecting a report and clicking Run, the pop-up window with options never appears.
-
The pop-up appears, but nothing happens when you try to run the report.
-
The report shows “loading,” but never completes or downloads.
If others are able to generate reports, or if you can generate reports in an Incognito window or different browser profile, the solution below should apply.
Solution
On Google Chrome:
- Go to
chrome://settings/siteData
- Go to Privacy & Security on the left
- Click Site Settings
- Click View permissions and data stored across sites
- Search for
streetsmartmobile.com
- Click the trashcan
- Click Delete
- Reload and re-login to StreetSmart
- Try generating the report again.
(Note: this is not the same as clicking the button to the left of the URL, then cookies and site data and following the steps to delete. The steps above are a much more thorough deletion that is necessary to remove the cached data is causing this issue.)
On Microsoft Edge:
- Open Edge.
- Click the three dots (⋯) in the top-right corner → select Settings.
- In the left panel, click Cookies and site permissions.
- Scroll down and click Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Click See all cookies and site data.
- In the search box, type
streetsmartmobile.com
. - When it appears, click the trashcan icon (or expand it and delete individual entries).
- Confirm deletion.
- Reload Edge and re-login to StreetSmart.
- Try generating the report again.
Information
This issue is typically caused by stale or corrupted browser data. While the exact cause isn’t fully understood, it occurs only in rare cases. The steps above clear the stored data and force the browser to re-download everything it needs, effectively refreshing StreetSmart and resolving the problem.
